A student society for public health.

The MPGHSS is a non-profit organisation for students at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, Alumni and Staff at the University of Melbourne. Developed for students, by students, we aim to provide a platform that enables networks to be formed and strengthened beyond the classroom. The MPGHSS, first established as the Melbourne Population Health Student Association (MPHSA), was built for students at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health in June 2012, and is affiliated to the Graduate Student Association (GSA). The aims of the club are:

  1. To provide regular professional networking activities for population health students.

  2. To facilitate socialising and skill sharing amongst population health students.

  3. To provide activities that support population health students’ learning.

  4. To hold student run seminars on themes related to their respective degrees.

  5. To engage with stakeholders in the public health community both international and domestic.
