Subject Description
Disability inclusion is a global health and development priority, essential for achieving the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals. Without it, ending poverty and achieving universal health coverage is impossible. An estimated 16% of the world’s population has a disability, with 80% living in resource-poor contexts, where they face exclusion from social, economic, and political participation. This short course teaches students to critically analyze the factors contributing to these inequities and develop strategies for improving policy and practice. It is ideal for those in global health and development, offering insights into equity, representation, and meaningful participation across multiple sectors.
