This subject focuses on the global impact of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which account for a significant portion of global deaths and disabilities. It covers NCD epidemiology, determinants, and strategies for addressing them. Students will gain an understanding of the societal and economic factors contributing to NCDs, their historical evolution, and the relationship between NCDs and equity, while also learning about key stakeholders in the field. Upon completion, students will be prepared to tackle NCDs through policy, programs, and advocacy efforts in both local and global contexts.
